Final two rounds of Italian Championship at Castelletto di Branduzzo: Malone is Italian S4 Champion

This weekend, the double and decisive Italian Championship event was held at the 'Castelletto Circuit' in Castelletto di Branduzzo (PV). The races were broadcast live on the Offroad Pro Racing Youtube channel.

On Saturday, characterized by mild and clear weather, Malone secured a fourth-place finish in qualifying. In both heats, he finished in third place, managing to gain valuable points for the final standings.

In the S Junior category, a spirited Andrea Benvenuti managed to secure sixth place in qualifying; an excellent performance in race one where he finished sixth, while in race two he had to settle for tenth position. Benvenuti finished the day in sixth place in the Junior 85cc classification.

On Sunday, rain dominated the race day. In the S Junior, due to the wet conditions, Benvenuti crashed in qualifying and did not get beyond tenth place.

In race one, Andrea maintained tenth position, which he then improved in race two, finishing seventh. Benvenuti thus concluded his debut in the Italian Championship with a fourth position in the Junior 85 cc, tied on points with Agostinelli.

In S4, despite the heavy rain, Malone managed to secure second place in qualifying. In race one, Marco started strong, taking the lead on the first lap. The duel at the front of the race intensified, and while Malone was in third position behind Vandi and Arduini, the latter two crashed. Malone then raced to the finish line in first place.

In race two, Marco started fourth, focused on controlling the race and finished in third position after Arduini's crash. Malone was thus crowned Italian S4 Champion 2021 with 119 points ahead of Vandi and 419 points ahead of Arduini.

Team Manager Nicola Ferranti comments on the victory: "We finally achieved the goal we had been pursuing since 2018, first in S1 and now in S4. We are very satisfied with Malone's season: it was exciting and challenging, but the work done brought the deserved result.
