Last stop in Magione

Sunday, September 3, saw the final stage of the 2017 Italian Supermoto Championship at the renowned Umbria circuit in Magione (PG). A new location for supermoto, which provided great spectacle.

After the wet practice sessions on Saturday, fortunately the weather on Sunday was merciful and the track dried up during the course of the morning.

As for the races, in the Supermoto category Fabrizio Bartolini #110 finished with a seventh place of the day after 2 very hard-fought heats: in race 1 he collected a fifth place right behind Andrea Occhini. In race 2, after a good start, he was in fourth place, but due to a contact coming out of the dirt with Occhini, he finished the race in eighth.

Riccardo Lodigiani #822 was absent due to health reasons.

In the Under 24 category, Fabio Mazzolai #247 started with the fourth fastest time in qualifying, finishing fifth in race 1 and fourth in race 2. Mazzolai won the 2017 Tuscan Regional Champion title and finished fourth in the Under 24 Championship.

Now the FRT team is taking a break until the next commitments, including the Eicma race on Sunday, November 12.
