Third round of the Italian Supermoto Internationals in Busca (CN)

For the third round of the Italian Supermoto Championship held on June 24, the FRT team moved to the spectacular Busca track (CN), characterized by an off-road section entirely paved with asphalt.

In the S1 category, riders Occhini #51 and Bartolini #110 worked hard to find the right feel on one of the most complex tracks. In qualifying, the two FRT standard-bearers achieved ninth and eighth times, respectively.

In Race 1, a re-energized Bartolini finished sixth, just ahead of Andrea Occhini, who made a mistake on lap eight and was forced to recover from ninth to seventh position. In the second heat, Occhini finished seventh, while Bartolini finished ninth. Both riders showed a good race pace.

In S5, the Romagna rider Ravaioli #64 finished the day in second position after a fourth place in Race 1 and an early start in Race 2 which penalized him, causing him to finish in fifth position.

A difficult race for Mazzolai #247 in the S3 category: the young Tuscan rider finished fifth overall for the day, struggling to find the right feel for the track.

The next race will be on July 22 at the Pomposa Circuit, San Giuseppe di Comacchio (FE).

Andrea Occhini #51

'A weekend that leaves a bitter taste in our mouths: we worked a lot for this race and unfortunately neither the daily ranking nor the championship ranking can satisfy us. The positive side is that we have the speed to be in the top positions, and this gives us the desire to continue to commit ourselves to the maximum.'

Fabrizio Bartolini #110

'At Busca, the revamped completely asphalted off-road section makes it very interesting. From the first free practice sessions, I found the right feeling with the bike; an excellent eighth time in qualifying is proof of this and motivates me for the two heats in the afternoon. Race 1 concluded in sixth place, managing to maintain a good rhythm and consistency until the end. In the second heat, however, contact at the entrance to the dirt section caused me to lose a few positions and partially compromised the result. What remains good is the consistency in the race, with excellent lap times. The day concluded with an overall seventh place, fifth among the Italians, a result that motivates us for the next race in Pomposa.'
