Third Round of the Italian Championship in Latina
On Sunday, May 25, the third round of the Italian Supermoto Championship was held at the 'Il Sagittario' International Circuit in Latina.
A return to the Lazio track after four years with excellent results for the riders of the FRT RACING 2 team.
In SM4, Iacopo Arduini #05 immediately found a great feeling with the track, and in qualifying, he clocked the third fastest time, just a few thousandths of a second behind the leaders. In race one, he achieved an excellent second place, while in race two, he finished fourth a few laps from the end due to a red flag.

His category teammate Samuele Gaspari #47 was unlucky: despite two crashes caused by other riders that involved him in both heats, he achieved eleventh and seventeenth place, respectively.
In the overall standings for the day, Arduini finished in fourth place with the same points as the third-place rider, while Gaspari was in twelfth position.

Also in SM Young, Michael Diodato #2 delivered an excellent performance, securing second place overall after both heats, which he both finished in second position.

In the Honda Red Moto Trophy, Renato Cuomo #469 continued his positive streak with pole position and victory in both heats at the Lazio circuit.

"It was a very positive weekend; Arduini was always at the front. We narrowly missed the podium, but we'll make up for it on the next tracks. It's a shame about Gaspari's repeated bad luck, but his potential will emerge. I'm also satisfied with Diodato, who has returned to the right rhythm, and with Renato Cuomo, who continues to collect victories," commented Team Principal Gilda Benazzi.
