Third Round of the Italian Championship in Busca
The Italian Supermoto Championship reached its halfway point with the third round in Busca (CN) held on Sunday, June 9th.
Numerous twists and turns in the SM4 category: in the morning qualifiers, Iacopo Arduini #05 stopped the clock in fourth position on the starting grid; followed by Guido Cilla #173 in ninth, Matteo Giacobbe #41 in thirteenth, and Alex Sciorsci #100 in fifteenth.
In race one, Arduini started well, positioning himself in second place but had to relinquish it, finishing in fourth place. Cilla made a good comeback, finishing in seventh position. Giacobbe and Sciorsci were further back, in thirteenth and sixteenth respectively.
In the second heat, Arduini had another fast start, again moving into second position. He was then overtaken by Rato, and on the last lap, while in third position, he was involved in a crash due to contact with Surra.
Cilla managed to improve, finishing in sixth position, while Sciorsci finished fourteenth.
Giacobbe retired due to a technical problem.

In the SM Young category, Michael Diodato #2 had a brilliant start from the morning qualifiers with a well-deserved first place, which he reconfirmed in race one. In race two, unfortunately, due to a fall while leading, he was forced to retire due to technical problems. He thus finished the day's classification in fifth position.
Gilda Benazzi, Team Principal, comments: "First and foremost, I wish Marco Malone, who was absent from this race for physical reasons, a speedy recovery from the entire team. It certainly wasn't a positive weekend, but the championship is still long. Well done to Cilla on his home track where he found the right feeling."
