Second round of the Italian Championship in Ottobiano: Arduini wins in SM4, Diodato second in SM Young
On Sunday, May 5th, the supermoto circus arrived in Ottobiano (PV) for the second round of the Italian Championship.

In the SM4 category qualifiers, Marco Malone #52 immediately stood out with the second-fastest time; his teammate Iacopo Arduini #05 followed right behind with the third-fastest time. The other riders, Matteo Giacobbe #41 with the thirteenth time, followed by Alex Sciorsci #100 with the fourteenth, and Guido Cilla #173 with the fifteenth, were further back.

In race one, Arduini firmly took second position, followed by his teammate Malone, and they finished the heat in second and third place, respectively. Giacobbe and Sciorsci managed to recover some positions, finishing in eleventh and twelfth place, respectively; while Cilla finished fifteenth.

In the second heat, the start was very spectacular: after the collision between Sciarretta and Malone, Arduini immediately took the lead and finished the race in first position. Malone, who restarted last after the collision, finished ninth. Following them were teammates Giacobbe in twelfth place, Sciorsci in fourteenth position, and Cilla in fifteenth.

Arduini thus clinched first place for the day, bringing himself within 10 points of the red plate. Malone finished the day in fifth position, Giacobbe in eleventh, Sciorsci in thirteenth, and Cilla in fourteenth.

In SM Young, Michael Diodato #2 had two excellent races: after achieving the second-fastest category time in qualifying, he finished both heats in second position, earning a well-deserved second place overall for the day.

"It was a positive weekend for our team, I am very satisfied with Arduini's victory. It's a pity for Malone in race two. Diodato also did very well, deserving second place, and he can still improve," commented Gilda Benazzi, Team Principal of FRT2 Racing.
