Second Round Interregional Championship in Ottobiano

On Sunday, May 14, the second round of the Lombardy – Piedmont – Liguria Interregional Championship took place at the Ottobiano (PV) track.

After the overnight rain, the track proved to be very technical, with plenty of falls and unexpected turns of events.

In the SM5 Over category qualifiers, Alessandro Mantia #341 secured the second-fastest time: in race one, he suffered a fall in the dirt and finished in second position; in race two, however, he got off to a good start and finished in first place, also securing the overall top spot for the day.

In the SM4 category, Dario Cogliano #15 managed to secure the eighth-fastest time in qualifying but struggled in both races: he finished fourteenth in the first heat and was forced to retire in the second after a skid. Fabiano Bartoli #51 was absent due to flu.

In the SM Fast category, Mattia Negri #70 struggled to find his rhythm on the track, and after an eleventh-place finish in qualifying, he completed both heats in twelfth position.

In SM AMA, Lorenzo Surace #44, after starting from tenth position after qualifying, finished the first heat in ninth and the second in eleventh.

Day's results:
