Second round of the Interregional Championship in Ottobiano
On Sunday, May 29, the second round of the Lombardy Piedmont Liguria Interregional Championship took place in Ottobiano, characterized by cold and cloudy weather.
In the S4 category qualifiers, Alessandro Mantia #341 managed to secure the fourth fastest time, closely followed by Fabiano Bartoli #51 in sixth; Lorenzo Surace #44 was further back with the 16th time on the grid.

In race one, Mantia got off to a good start and then battled for third position until the end, ultimately getting the better of his opponents. Bartoli and Surace finished 13th and 16th respectively, struggling to find the right race pace.

In race two, Mantia again started well but had to settle for 4th place, which nonetheless allowed him to step onto the third step of the general podium for the day. Race two went better for Bartoli, who finished eighth, and Surace, who finished twelfth.

Lombardy day classification: Mantia 3rd place, Bartoli 8th place, Surace 10th place.

In the S2 category, Alessandro Lauri #24 secured ninth position in qualifying. In race one, he got off to a good start and managed to recover up to seventh position. In race two, while trying to gain sixth position, he had a spectacular fall (fortunately without consequences) which dropped him to twelfth place. He finished the day in eighth place in the Lombardy classification.
Next event: Interregional Championship on June 19 in Borgo Ticino (NO).
