Round #1 2017 Italian Supermoto Championship in Battipaglia (SA)

On Sunday, March 5th, the first round of the Italian Supermoto Championship took place at the Circuito del Sele in Battipaglia (SA).

The day was marked by heavy rain, which only let up for the second Supermoto category race and severely limited track conditions.

In the morning qualifying sessions for the Supermoto category, Fabrizio Bartolini #110 on his new 2017 Honda CRF 450 managed to secure third place, while Riccardo Lodigiani #822 took ninth.

Race 1 was very challenging for both Lodigiani, who finished ninth on his 2016 Honda CRF 450, and Bartolini, who finished fifth after a fall in the dirt.

In Race 2, the setup caused some problems for both riders: Lodigiani finished the race in twelfth place, while Bartolini finished ninth.

It's worth noting the good result of Fabio Mazzolai #247, who managed to take home second place in the Under 24 category after two races characterized by numerous overtakes and battles with other riders.

The next round is scheduled for March 26th at the Circuito di Ottobiano (PV), a 'home' race for our Lodigiani.
