Fifth round of the Italian Championship in Pomposa
On Sunday, July 6, the fifth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship took place at the Circuito di Pomposa (FE) racetrack.
A scorching day, both for the temperatures and the spectacular races.
High adrenaline levels in the SM4 category where Iacopo Arduini #05, after finishing second in qualifying, battled in both races with Mattia Rato on a TM, passing and repassing each other.

Arduini finished both heats in second position, earning him second place on the day's podium and moving him up to third in the overall Championship standings.
His teammate in the category, Samuele Gaspari #47, also performed very well, finishing sixth in both heats after qualifying seventh.

Renato Cuomo #469 also returned to victory in the Honda Red Moto Trophy, taking first place on the day. Both heats were full of adrenaline, with passes between Cuomo and Michael Fedeli making them highly spectacular.

In SM Young, Michael Diodato #2, despite a technical problem in race two, managed to secure second place on the day's podium.

"A very satisfying weekend for the whole team, with Arduini keeping pace with Rato from start to finish. Gaspari finally managed to demonstrate his growth and potential. Cuomo and Diodato also did well. We missed out on victory in SM4, but we're right there," comments Gilda Benazzi, Team Principal.
The Italian Championship now takes a long break until September 14 for the final round, which will be held at the Circuito Internazionale d'Abruzzo in Ortona.
