Fifth and sixth rounds of the Italian Championship in Pomposa
On Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th, the Italian Supermoto Championship concluded with a double event at the Circuito di Pomposa (FE).

On Saturday, the race took place at the racetrack: in SM4 qualifying, Iacopo Arduini #05 immediately demonstrated his familiarity with the Ferrara track, securing the second-fastest time. His teammates followed, Matteo Giacobbe #41 with the ninth-fastest time, while Alex Sciorsci #100 placed eleventh.
In race one, Arduini started third but immediately recovered position with a spectacular overtake on Navarria. Unfortunately, his race ended a few laps from the finish due to a mechanical problem. Giacobbe, however, managed to gain positions and finished with an excellent seventh place. Sciorsci also had bad luck, encountering a crash.

In the second heat, Arduini finished eighth, while Giacobbe was eleventh. Sciorsci had a good start but unfortunately suffered another fall and finished in fifteenth position.

In the SM Young category, Michael Diodato #2 delivered an excellent performance, securing third place in qualifying and then finishing both races in second place.

On Sunday, the races moved to the kart track: in SM4 qualifying, Arduini secured the third-fastest time, while his teammates were further back, with Sciorsci in fifteenth and Giacobbe in sixteenth.

In the first heat, Arduini got off to a strong start, moving into second position behind Rato, and managed to maintain it until the end. Sciorsci managed to gain several positions, finishing eleventh, while Giacobbe placed thirteenth.

In race two, Arduini immediately returned to second place and held the position firmly until the finish line. Sciorsci finished in twelfth place, followed closely by Giacobbe in fourteenth.

Arduini thus secured second place for the day and finished the Championship in third position.
In the final standings, Giacobbe finished tenth while Sciorsci was thirteenth.

In SM Young qualifying, Diodato achieved the fourth-fastest time: in both heats, he managed to recover and finished both in third position. He concluded the day in third place and also secured third place in the final Championship standings.

"It certainly hasn't been an easy season; we've been unlucky on several occasions, but we are very satisfied with Arduini's and Diodato's two third-place finishes. We thank all sponsors, our supporters, and all the people on our team. We are already working for the 2025 season," comments Team Principal Gilda Benazzi.
But it doesn't end here... next appointment:
