Fourth Round of the Italian Supermoto Championship in Pomposa (FE): Marco Malone takes second place.
On Sunday, July 11, the fourth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship was held in scorching Pomposa. The races were broadcast live on Offroad Pro Racing's social channels with excellent public response.
In the S4 category, Malone immediately found a good feeling with the Ferrara track and took pole position in the morning's qualifying sessions, stopping the clock at 47.510, followed by Vandi and Arduini.

Two thrilling races: in race one, after a restart due to a fall in the back, Malone did not find the right sprint at the start and found himself in fourth position, then having to recover against Sanchioni and Vandi, he finished the race in second position right behind Arduini. Race two was a nail-biter: Malone still didn't start very well and found himself behind Vandi and Arduini. The battle raged between the three, then Arduini and Malone remained, finishing the race first and second respectively after a series of thrilling overtakes. Malone ended the day with an overall second place and the red plate as championship leader with a 250-point lead over Arduini.

In the S Junior category, Andrea Benvenuti showed great improvement, securing a third-place finish in qualifying practice. He was unlucky in both races: in race one, he was stung by a wasp on the third lap and finished sixth. In race two, after contact with other riders at the start, he was hit in the foot and subsequently crashed. He then finished the race in ninth position. Benvenuti finished seventh overall for the day.
Giacomo Bolognesi was absent from S3 due to injury.

Nicola Ferranti, Team Manager, commented: "It was a demanding weekend, the races were very good. Marco reconfirmed his speed; the 2021 bike is also fast but we need to correct some minor flaws. I must also say Andrea Benvenuti did very well, it's a pity that his efforts didn't come to fruition due to a series of unforeseen events, but we are continuing on this path."
Next stages: August 22, the second round of the European Championship in Forcarei, Spain, and Sunday, September 12, in Latina for the fifth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship.
See you soon... and full throttle!
