Fourth Round Italian Supermoto Championship

On Sunday, June 23rd, the fourth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship took place on the old track of the Pomposa Circuit in San Giuseppe di Comacchio (FE).

Of note was the excellent performance in the S4 category by Iacopo Arduini #05: after a first place in race 1 and a third place in race 2, Iacopo stood on the top step of the podium in the day's standings.

There was also a good debut in the team for new entry Giancarlo Liberati #39, who, with a third place in race 1 and a fourth in race 2, finished fourth overall for the day, just one point from the podium.

In S1, a fearless Fabrizio Bartolini #110, despite a shoulder fracture, got on track and finished fifth in race 1 and eighth in race 2. He placed fourth overall for the day in the S1 Italian riders' standings.

We also note the absence of Occhini, who had to end his season early due to an injury in Viterbo in April.

Marko Ukota #36 also had a good performance in S2, finding the right feeling on the 'old' Pomposa track and collecting a fourth place in race 1 and a third in race 2. He also placed fourth overall for the day.

In the S5 category, Marzio Ravaioli #64, after a second-place finish in timed practice, finished fourth in both heats and fourth in the day's standings.

Next appointment is July 14th at the Il Sagittario Circuit in Latina.

Nicola Ferranti Team Manager

"It was a good weekend for our team. Arduini's victory brought a wave of positivity to the whole group. A big round of applause also to Bicio Bartolini who, despite his shoulder, tried to hold his own against his opponents."

Fabrizio Bartolini #110

"Unfortunately, in May during training, I suffered a clavicle fracture. This injury forced me to miss the championship round that took place in Busca, and I returned to Pomposa not fully recovered. The track is particularly tricky due to Saturday's rain and my less than optimal condition, so I didn't get beyond 7th place in qualifying. Race 1 started with a decent beginning, I was 6th. I tried to fend off Cousin's attacks, but the demanding track and my shoulder, which isn't yet 100%, made it difficult. Monticelli D. in front of me slid, and I finished the heat in 5th position. In Race 2, I was 5th at the start, holding on until halfway through the race, but the pain started to kick in, and I was forced, much to my regret, to ease off the pace a bit. I finished in 8th place. I'm not particularly satisfied with the result; I would have liked to do more in my "home" race for myself and my team; however, I finished 4th among the Italians in the day's standings."
