Fourth round of the Italian Championship in Ottobiano

On Sunday, June 15, the fourth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship was held at the Ottobiano Motosport Lenovo track (PV).

A scorching hot day that featured spectacular races.

In the SM4 category qualifiers, Iacopo Arduini #05 recorded the fifth fastest time, while his teammate Samuele Gasperi #47 was twelfth.

In race one, the pace was extremely high, and Arduini finished in an excellent fourth position, closely following third-placed Navarria. A shame for Gaspari, who crashed a few laps from the end while in tenth position and finished in thirteenth place.

Great show in race two, after some riders crashed, Arduini found himself in third place, which he maintained until the end of the race after a tight pace, still behind Navarria in second position. A winning race for Gaspari, who finished the heat with a deserved fifth place.

Arduini took the third step of the podium for the day, while Gaspari finished in eighth place.

Michael Diodato #2 was also a protagonist in the SM Young category: after qualifying with the second fastest time, he finished both heats in second place.

In the Honda Red Moto Trophy, Renato Cuomo #469 was again a protagonist with first place in the morning qualifiers. In race one, he managed to finish first, while in race two, due to a crash at the start, he finished in fifth position. He still ended the day on the second step of the podium.

"I am very satisfied with the weekend; we worked very well, and Arduini made it to the podium. Finally, some satisfaction for Gaspari after several unfortunate races. Diodato also had an excellent performance and found the right feeling with the track; it's a shame about Cuomo's error in race two. Now we're focusing on Pomposa in July," commented Gilda Benazzi, Team Principal.
