Fourth round of the Italian Championship in Castelletto di Branduzzo

On Sunday, July 28th, the fourth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship took place in Castelletto di Branduzzo (PV): the scorching heat made for a challenging day of racing.

In the SM4 category, Iacopo Arduini #05 struggled to find the right feeling with the Pavia track and qualified in sixth place. In race one, he was forced to retire after an excellent start due to a technical problem. In race two, he maintained sixth position until the end of the race. Arduini holds second place in the overall Championship standings.

Alex Sciorsci #100 also encountered some problems: starting from sixteenth place after qualifying, he finished race one in the same position after a collision with another rider and a fall. Race two was better: thanks to an excellent start, Alex managed to recover and finished in tenth position.

Matteo Giacobbe #41 also faced some difficulties: after finishing seventeenth in qualifying, he concluded the first heat in twelfth position and the second heat in eighteenth position.

In the SM Young category, Michael Diodato #2 secured third place on the podium for the day: after finishing second in his category in qualifying, he finished race one in second position and race two in third position.

"It was a very complicated and difficult weekend. We hope to be able to conclude the season at Pomposa in the best possible way. Congratulations to Michael Diodato who managed to secure third position," commented Gilda Benazzi, Team Principal.
