NEW HONDA CRF 250 2018
The new Honda CRF 250 2018 was presented on July 31st.

The Honda CRF250R features a new DOHC engine with an impressive 9% more peak power over a wider rev range and greater over-rev. It also comes standard with electric start and the same mass-centralized frame as the CRF450R, including the 49mm Showa upside-down fork with steel springs.

The 2018 CRF250R is decidedly more powerful than the 2017 model, with a 5% improvement in power-to-weight ratio (kW/Kg). In parallel acceleration tests, the new CRF250R is 3% faster from 0 to 10 meters and 3.6% faster over 30 meters. This translates to roughly half a bike length and a full bike length, respectively.
The new DOHC engine features "super-square" bore and stroke measurements, with larger valves and an updated intake/exhaust system configuration, delivering 9% more power across an extended rev range and a higher rev limiter. From the starting gate, lap after lap, the 2018 CRF250R has been designed to gain an advantage lap after lap and drastically improve lap times.
The new CRF250R's frame, featuring optimal mass centralization and identical to the CRF450R's, allows the rider to fully utilize the extra power thanks to its structural characteristics and low center of gravity, which ensure exceptional rear wheel traction. Furthermore, the new CRF250R uses the same 49mm Showa fork with steel springs as the CRF450R, which is fully adjustable and precisely responsive to rider set-up choices.
As with the CRF450R, the CRF250R's plastics are harmoniously aerodynamic with smooth shapes, ergonomically designed to offer the rider maximum freedom of movement. They also feature scratch-resistant graphics achieved with in-mold film insertion technology, for a crisp look and durable finish.
Like the 2018 CRF450R, the new CRF250R comes standard with electric start.
